Simply Irresistible '88

In the Fall of 1988 during my junior year, I was approached by a group of 8 sophomores that wanted to perform in the NHS Talent Show, Puttin' On The Hitz.

They essentially were looking for a male lead to perform with them as Robert Palmer. After they assured me they could work rehearsals around my basketball schedule, I accepted their offer. The girls rehearsed for weeks on their own before I could finally join them.

Before that my only rehearsal time had consisted of me, a hair brush, and the bathroom mirror.

When it came time for the talent show we had everything down but a name for out act. In the end we settled on "Brett Palmer & The Irresistible 8!"
